Award winning songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and Houston, Texas native Chris Baker has long juggled a professional career with his deep connection to writing and performing music. Songwriting came hand in hand with learning the guitar as a high school freshman, although playing piano, playing brass instruments, and singing in choirs came first. Across a variety of genres, his lyrics are consistently colorful and emotional, and a love of both melody and harmony is apparent, as is his passion for slide guitar.
